Windows 10: Problems with Windows 10 activation

Hello everyone,


A month ago I got an activation warning saying that my Windows 10 Home current OS needed to be activated. So I did activate it using a third party activator, and it all went well.

A month later, I got the same popup saying that my Windows license would expire soon, so I tried to hit slmgr -rearm through CMD and restarted my PC twice. After 2 restarts my PC settings told me my Windows is not activated. On the activation tab, I get an 0xc004f074 error code. Which means I am unable to contact my organization's activation server. The thing is, I was messing around with it and accidentally lost my previous progress in June because I lost administrator rights due to having a temporary profile.


I bought my PC in 2018 and the creme de la creme is, my vendor did NOT give out the product key. They think I'd continue my progress that way. I don't want to get my PC back to where I bought it and I don't want to buy a new product key for Windows 10 Home my current OS. I know it costs a bloody lot of money, but sure there's no other way.


There are some things I need to come clean with. My computer said my Windows are activated up to this morning. And no, my Windows are NOT counterfeit. I just did a clean boot back then.

I did a lot of things when I was dealing with activation back then. Did the sfc/scannow process and still the same thing, nothing about activation. And I'm not sure if I can be able to contact Microsoft tech support even though I'm from Greece, I'm sure there is a way to contact them or a tech guy to help.

How long did you wait for activation?
When I re-installed with a fresh install... it took a few hours to sync and activate.
However, it did, finally, activate.

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
