    Problems with Windows Mail - Saying Accounts are out of Date


    All of a sudden my Mail app is not working properly. We have 6 email accounts linked to this and it's now saying that the email account details are out of date. I have changed passwords for them all and it works for a while then the message appears again. Emails are now not sending but are being received periodically.


    I've tried resetting the app and also uninstalling and reinstalling it but it didn't work.


    Might anyone have any ideas on how to fix this, it's driving me nuts!


    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving the issue. I understand that you are receiving an error that the email account settings are out of date. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.



    However, please let us know:



    • When you say “when I go to verify them there is a password that I did not enter”, may I know the verify section that you are referring?
    • Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?


    I would suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article

    Your account settings are out-of-date in Mail or Calendar for Windows 10     and see if that helps.

    • When do you receive the notification?
    • In which application are you receiving the notification?


    If you are receiving the notification in Mail App, I suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps in the article

    Your account settings are out-of-date in Mail or Calendar for Windows 10     and see if that helps in resolving the issue.

    Problems with Windows Mail - Saying Accounts are out of Date

    yahoo emails say they are out of date

    Let me suggest you to remove then add your Yahoo account which is configured to the Windows Mail. Please follow the steps below to remove your account:

    • Open your Windows Mail
    • Click the Settings
    • Select Manage account then click your email
    • Click Delete account then select Delete

    After doing the steps above, add again your account and see if the issue still persist.
