    What is the process of making a new ssd ready for use in my Asus Laptop Vivobook Model 510U? I want a clean slate, and I'm ready to start fresh with Win. 10 Hone Editio, which came with the computer when I bought it. There are two SSDs that I'm planning to replace the mechanical "D" drive and the overloaded and overused "C" drive. D is getting a 1 TB SSD; C, a NVM drive, is getting an upgrade from 120 gigs to 1 TB. I need to make the drives accessible to the system, but I'm unsure how to do this. I tried downloading a free cloning tool, but the C drive is too full; hence, I don't want to clo

    Capacity of hard drives

    I've been thinking of upgrading the secondary storage of my pc. Currently my pc (hp-r203tx) have following specifications...

    • 4gb samsung DDR3L ram plugged into second slot
    • Intel i5-5200 processor
    • Nvidia 820m graphics processor with 2GB DDR3 graphics memory
    • An HDD of 1tb capacity
    • And a dvd drive

    Current RAM limit as shown by CPUz is 16gb.

    My question is, can I replace my current HDD with a new one maybe with more storage capacity like 2TB or 4TB?

    Also, is there a way to exceed the supported memory limit for both hard drive and ram?

    And would it be a good choice to go with RAMs of any other brand?

    Hard Drive Incorrect Capacity

    It's really not cheating but in not describing the capacity correctly. What is advertised has a lot to do with how a bit, Byte, KiloByte, GigaByte and TerraByte is defined. It takes 8 bits to make a Byte, Kilo 1000, etc. Then there is the loss of capacity done by formatting, some formats take more room than others. And it usually doubles as the drive size doubles, e.g. 10MB on a 100MB drive, if I'm asked about getting a new drive I explain the same, get the next larger than what the client thinks is needed. An example is my External 4TB USB drive:
