Windows 10: Product Key Question - Windows 10 Pro 64 bit OEM System Builder

Dear All,

A few years back I bought a Windows 10 Pro 64 bit OEM System Builder disk. Loaded it and spent a lot of time creating a configuration that I wanted. When completed, I imaged the build and have it stored on a separate detachable drive. What I want to do is take that same image and load it to a new machine that I just built from the ground up. This would be very convenient for me as the build / image is already configured. I understand that the OEM software mates itself to the mother board of one and only one computer. So what I am wondering is if I can load the image to the new machine and just buy a new OEM product key and update the product key during the installation? This would save me a ton of time, any advice is greatly appreciated.

I have a question about OEM product key and Windows 10

can you use a windows 7 pro sp1 32 bit system builder (OEM) product key to activate windows 10 pro 32 bit or do you have to first install the windows 7 pro sp1 32 bit OEM and activate with its product key and then upgrade back to Windows 10. Because my Windows
10 pro is not activated so I bought Windows 7 pro sp1 32 bit OEM (COA) with disc and product key however I don't want to wipe the Windows 10 off of my computer and have to install Windows 7 and activating it with the unused non branded system builder product
key and then upgrade to Windows 10 just so it can be activated with a digital entitlement. This is the link to the Windows 7 pro sp1 32 bit OEM with COA that I bought.

Question here, Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit, should the key be 20 or 25 numerical digits?

Is ProductID the same as Product Key?

Here is what I saw using SHOWKEYPLUS:

Product Name: Windows 7 Professional

Version: 7601.24544 (64-bit OS)

Product ID: XXXX1-14X-XXXX064-XXXX1

Installed Key: MAK key not available

OEM Key: Windows Vista OEM marker present in firmware.

----

I was expecting 25 numerical digits & not the second line message of MAK key not available.

Unsure at this point..

 

my windows 10 oem didn't come with a product key

indeed OEM's have embedded keys a OEM upgrade is for machines with OEM copies and DO NOT COME WITH A KEY! sadly many vendors confuse the two because pre-windows 10 'OEM" came with a key
a end user should always buy a Retail OR "System builder OEM" copy when it comes to windows 10 system builder is not `OEM` you can blame microsoft for the retarded terminology screw up

it sounds like the op bought a pirated copy with no key microsoft does not ship windows 10 on optical disks .... they use flash drives
