Windows 10: Product Key

Hey guys,


Just recently built my new PC. My friend sent me a product key to use, and it worked, but doesn't work. My Activate Windows is gone, but when I go into About PC It says "We cant activate Windows on this device right now. You can try activating it later or go to the store and buy a genuine Windows. Error Code: 0XC004F025." Anyway. I was able to buy a genuine product key through my Microsoft Vendor at work. Yet, when trying to change my product key, it says "The product key you entered didn't work".


Is there any other option besides re-installing windows 10, and hoping this genuine product key works? I don't want to have to deal with my M.2 drivers again, and have to re-install all the software/games I've downloaded.

Where is my Product Key if I want to re-install?


Like davidhk said. But if you really want to see your windows key, I would suggest Belarc advisor. It will give you some useful information about your system, product keys of your software is among them (not only Microsoft, you will have listed most of your keys).

There is still a way to search for your product key. Kindly follow the steps below for you to know your product key:

• Press Windows key + X
• Click Command Prompt (admin)
• Enter the following command: wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey
• Then hit Enter

The product key will be revealed, copy the product key then enter it.

Give us an update on what happens.
