    When looking at my basic file structure in my C drive, I have 2 folders labeled similarly : "Program Files" and "Program Files x86" Do I need both of them? I understand I may need some of the files in each of them, but is there a reason for two different Program files? and what does the "x86" mean?I just have a feeling that I have many duplicate files on my computer that I could delete off of my laptop.Sara

    Are my Registry Files all legitimate programs?

    Isn't there a web tool whereby I can check if programs listed in my REGISTRY FILES are legitimate programs?

    Let me try what you guys suggested, i am willing to pay for the program to get the files back.

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
