Windows 10: Program won't open

Discus and support Program won't open in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I have a program that I can't get to open.     Program won't open


    I have a program that I can't get to open. I tried a whole bunch of different things to solve it and nothing worked, so eventually I reinstalled Windows. That fixed it for a couple of weeks, but now it's back to not opening again. It shows up in Task Manager as a process that's running but the actual program isn't there. This isn't something that came installed with Windows 10, it's a program I downloaded from the internet.

    Hi,

    Could you provide a little more information about this issue?

    Which game is it you are trying to run? Do you have the same issues with other games?

    Are you trying to run the game straight from a shortcut or from a 3rd party program like Steam?

    Program won't open

    I have a program that has run on win 10 for month's, but after the July update, it quit running. The program is Weatherlink by Davis Instruments.
    I tried to open program in compatibility mode for win 7, and I get an error stating, C:\users\Bill\Appdata\Local\Temp\WZSE16.tmp\WearthlinkNOVcPsetup.msi. Verify file exists and you can access it.

    I can't find this file on my computer.

    It's a program called My Photo Index for tagging and sorting photos. It worked fine for years up until five or six weeks ago.

    I don't remember specifically what things I tried the first time this happened since it was over a month ago. I just googled and tried things from different forum posts I found online. Since none of them worked I thought it would be easier to ask somewhere myself rather than blindly googling.
