programs foisted upon me every time there's a forced update

    Windows 10 Home

-How do i stop microsoft from weighing down my computer with unwanted programs and garbage I never wanted with every "update"?

It is infuriating to be constantly trying to free up space for the programs and apps I need and trying to guess which programs microsoft loads onto my system without permission, are able to be uninstalled without screwing up my computer.

How can someone without a degree in IT discern unnecessary programs loaded on by microsoft from necessary updates?

Also-just curious why windows will not allow me to copy and paste my basic pc info when necessary like now?

    Thanks.

    :)

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond programs foisted upon me every time there's a forced update :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

  3. Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

    Microsoft forced updates

    Hello,

A driver is a program that controls a device that is connected to your computer. Having an outdated driver after installing a Windows update may cause functionality issues due to incompatibility and this may be the reason you're experiencing screen flickering.
To resolve the said issue, we suggest that you refer
