Windows 10: projecting my laptop to Samsung smart tv

Hello,
I have an Asus laptop x556uv running windows 10 and a Samsung smart TV of UHD 7 series model UE50RU7100UXMI. I'm trying to project my laptop screen to the TV wireless which is discovered by the computer but the connection fails
Further investigation under properties>events of the Samsung TV device in control panel shows the following error:

Can not project laptop screen to smart TV

What is the model number of your Samsung Smart TV?

In order for you to project your laptop's screen to your TV, your laptop and Smart TV must be connected to each other on the same network.

Set your PC's output resolution so it matches a resolution supported by the TV and when you connect your TV to the laptop, set the laptop's video card to one of the standard resolutions. The TV will automatically adjust to the resolution you choose. Note
that the optimal and recommended resolution is 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz. Refer to the user manual of your graphics card for compatible resolutions.

Follow the below methods and check if this helps.

Windows 10 Issue Connecting to Samsung Smart TV

My Samsung TV (UA37D5000PR) bought in Dubai (2012) is wired to the Wi-Fi router and I can successfully play media from my laptop (Samsung All Share or via Smart View) but am unable to project my laptop screen from My Lenovo Flex14 (WIndows10)

My TV firmware is also upto date as per the prompt on TV
