  1. Proxy Server Error?

I keep having trouble with my connection, my computer states "Windows could not automatically detect this server's proxy settings".

I am using Windows 10, and an ethernet cable.

One of the solutions Google search told me was to check my proxy server settings. In the images, I see that "automatically detect proxy settings" is enabled, but...

I can't seem to get Windows to save when I try to enable "automatically detect proxy settings", regardless whether I do this through the Internet Options window under Connections->LAN Settings, or whether I do it under the Start bar and Settings->Network & Internet->Proxy.

(I have also tried to reset TCP/IP through the Command Prompt, another solution provided by Google search.)

I have unplugged and plugged back in my modem. I have called my ISP and had them reset it several times. I don't know what else to do.

    :)

  2. The proxy server isn’t responding

    Hello All!

From the last 2 days, I'm facing a peculiar problem of not getting connected to internet.

Tried with IE, Edge, Chrome but none seems to work.

This is the error with IE

    The proxy server isn’t responding

    • Check your proxy settings 127.0.0.1:8080.

Go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections. If you are on a LAN, click “LAN settings”.
    • Make sure your firewall settings aren’t blocking your web access.
    • Ask your system administrator for help.
This is the error with M. Edge:

Can’t connect to the proxy server
    Try this

    • Make sure firewall settings aren’t blocking your web access
    • Ask your system administrator for help

    And with Chrome:

Unable to connect to the proxy server
    ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED

A proxy server is a server that acts as an intermediary between your computer and other servers. Right now, your system is configured to use a proxy, but Google Chrome can't connect to it.

If you use a proxy server...
Check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server: Go to the Chrome menu > Settings > +
Show advanced settings > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect "Use a proxy server for your LAN".

    What to do?

Tried all the resources listed on the web.

Can someone help me to fix this issue?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

    Srinik

    Proxy Server?

When I was in high school, I used this website. It is a website that lists working proxies, updated daily. If you choose the right ones, you can actually successfully watch youtube videos through the proxy!
