Windows 10: PS4 Controller not being detected anymore

I play quite a few number of games on steam with my PS4 controller, I was playing Rocket League the other day and my dualshock controller all of a sudden stopped working. I tried checking if it was my drivers, tried installing DS4 to see if it would help me use my PS4 controller again but no luck. I even tried using multiple USB cables and even a different PS4 controller and XBox controller but still nothing. How can I fix this?

Just yesteday, I got a game on my PC that requires a ps4 controller. When I plugged it into a USB port, my system automatically detected it as a controller in the device manager section, as well as devices and printers.

I used the DS4 software, and everything seemed to be working perfectly fine.

But later that night, I was having problems with the software, to the point where I had to fiddle with a few things in the device manager section. I think I might've uninstalled/disabled something??

Also, that same night, I updated my computer, then turned it off.

Now when I connect my controller via USB, my computer doesn't detect it at all. No jingle, nothing in device manager or devices and printers, none of that. I've tried reinstalling the drivers using the DS4 software, used many different USB cables and ports.
Still, nothing at all. Just the little yellow light on my ps4 controller to show that it's charging.

I tried using an xbox one controller as well to see if that was the problem, but my computer didn't detect that either. My computer also doesn't support bluetooth, so I can't connect it like that either.

I've been scrolling through websites and videos on youtube to see if there was a way to fix this, but almost all of them said to go to the device manager and click on the controller, but it's not showing up anymore.

I'm just so confused right now

 

Computer is not detecting ps4 controller

I play games using ps4 controller. But yesterday I had an issue, when I plugged in my controller, I saw a fading yellow light and ds4 didn’t recognize my controller.

I had the similar issue before and know that I should find "driver error" in the Settings, then I remove the device, plug out the controller, plug it again and everything worked fine.

However yesterday I didn’t find the controller in the Devices and Windows stopped detecting this controller

One of the above will usually fix it. If not go over this checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and any needed repairs get done:

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files, and also Step 16 to test a new Local Admin account. Then continue
with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly.

Update your drivers and BIOS/UEFI firmware from PC or motherboard maker's Support Downloads web page, using the full model number, Serial Number or Dell Service Tag on sticker. Compare the latest drivers available for download with the ones presently installed
in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start Menu. Make sure you have the latest BIOS or UEFI firmware, Chipset, Display (Video), Sound, USB3, Bluetooth, Network and all other drivers, or else download and install the latest now.

Updating drivers from the Device Manager or Windows Update is rarely enough. The most basic thing we need to learn to maintain a PC is keep the latest manufacturer's drivers installed from their Support Downloads web page.

If nothing else helps you can run a Repair Install by installing the Media Creation Tool and choosing from it to Upgrade Now. This reinstalls Windows in about an hour while saving your files, apps and most settings, solves many problems while also bringing
it up to the latest version 1903 which you need anyway and by the most stable method.
