Hello! Did a fresh installation just the other day of Windows 10 22H2 x64 with ISO created by Media Creation Toolkit and allowed it an internet connection to download any needed updates along the way.During OOBE, I chose not to create or use a Microsoft Account and instead created a local account don't argue with me about this, MS employees, it's specific to the usage case.Once account was created, I logged in and allowed Windows 10 to download all and any available updates.Result: KB5020683 failed to install with error 0x800F0984 PSFX_E_MATCHING_BINARY_MISSING.Attempted a repair. the Error Code 0x800f0984 means PSFX_E_MATCHING_BINARY_MISSING (Matching component directory exist but binary missing).

The quickest and best way to fix the error is to perform an Inplace upgrade/Repair installation.

Have you installed a 3rd party Antivirus and/or Firewall Program and/or Tuning Tools? When yes, please remove this. Please use the removal tool of the respective manufacturer of the antivirus or firewall program also. A list can be found at the link below.
