    Purchase of Free Cell for Windows 10


    All free versios of this once very popular game that I have tried are sorely lacking. Graphics are clumsy, dragging cards around is hard, the game is not identical to the original...and so on.


    We are all bemused as to why Microsoft subsumed the origial game. Especially in the light of the revelation of its huge popularity. BUT is it possible to PURCHASE the original version?


    Having tried out many of the free versions, I find that they just don't cut the mustard, and are all different in some subtle way. Therefore I am willing to buy FreeCell. Theoriginal one, not some amateur knock-off. and at a reasonable one-time cost.


    Has anyone out there found a satisfying version?

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Hi Peter,

    To help you reset your statistics in Free Cell, we suggest you to perform the following steps below:

    • Close the Microsoft Solitaire Collection (if it is open).
    • In the File explorer go to: C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftSolitaireCollection_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\UserData\Guest\Statistic\
    • Rename Statistic.ark as old-Statistics.ark.
    • Run the Microsoft Solitaire Collection. The statistics will be back to 0.

    Let us know how it goes.
