Windows 10: Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A Bluetooth 4.1 Stopped Working and Is Now Completely Gone

I just got some Sennheiser bluetooth headphones and while attempting to connect them to my PC today I was having tons of difficulty with the buetooth in general. My bluetooth device is the Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A Bluetooth 4.1. When I finally got the headphones to connect to the bluetooth, the sounds were cutting in and out a bit but I did get it to work normally for about 10 mins. After disconnecting the headphones for a bit I tried to reconnect them only to see that bluetooth was no longer able to be turned on.


Here is a list of what happened next:

• Seen that all of the bluetooth devices were greyed out in Device Manager and were under the "hidden devices" tab.
• Tried to update drivers and was told that I already had the most up to date versions.
• Scanning for hardware changes does nothing.
• Tried uninstalling the drivers and restarting. The drivers never reinstalled and I lost them completely.
• I am unable to get any drivers from the internet to install on my PC because it is now saying that my PC has no bluetooth compatibility.
• Windows bluetooth troubleshoot does not work.
• Changing Bluetooth Support Service to automatic does not work.
• There is no bluetooth option from legacy hardware that works.
• System restoring to about a week ago gives me the bluetooth drivers back but they are still greyed out/disabled, and every option above still does nothing.

I cannot download any drivers from a PC manufacturing website because my PC is custom built from ibuypower.

Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A bluetooth stopped working

Hey,

I have been using bluetooth for a long time and then yesterday suddenly, it stopped working. I now can't see the option to turn on/off the bluetooth. I even no longer can see it in the device manager so I don't know how to unistall the drivers, and even
when I do Windows bluetooth troubleshooting it says that bluetooth is not available for my device. The weird part is that the wifi is still working, and it's the exect same component on the motherboard.

My motherboard is: Asus Maxiimus viii impact.

The receiver is: Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A

I tried installing the drivers, and still nothing. Updating windows still nothing. Also checked in BIOS and bluetooth is enabled.

I really need help, thanks.

Have you gone to the support page for your PC on the manufacturers website, then from there, download and install the Qualcomm atheros qca61x4a driver that they recommend for your PC?

If not, and you have any difficulty locating that support page, what is the Make and exact Model No.of your PC - that will be printed on a sticker on the bottom casing of your PC . . .
