    Quarantined item marked severe No option to empty


    Hi Everyone,


    Windows 10 has quarantined "something" marked severe under History Protection but I don't see an option to empty.

    I have heard that after sometime that quarantened items are automatically emptied but it's been 3 days just sitting there.


    I am concerned to do what it suggest to "make changes to your device". I don't want to do a backup either with this sitting on my system.

    It refers to a CLSID but I am not sure if this is generic or I can post it here.

    What would you recommend to get rid of this? / Defender is on, it is updated, no current threats

    mark several objects

    when marking photos in gallery each time i have to go to the options list to select it cant this be avoided.

    May be the following i would like to suggest for the software update

    1.turn off camera sound(i am from india)

    2.marking several items easily(may be after selecting the first item the edit icon could be changed to mark items or a double click could mark the second item):smileyhappy:

    Where to restore quarantined items in Windows 10 creator update?

    Hi,

    As per the description of the issue, you would like to know how to restore files that has been quarantined by Windows Defender. For us to assist you, here's a simple guide on how to see where the quarantined files are located:

    • Open Windows Defender.
    • Go to History tab.
    • In the History tab, check for Quarantined items.
    • Place a check on the file that you want to restore, this should enable
      Allow item      .
    • Press Allow item, this should bring the file back to the original location.

    To check where the files are located, kindly follow the steps listed below:

    • Open Windows Defender.

    Quarantined item marked severe No option to empty

    Trojan in Allowed Items and Quarantines

    When it was detected and in quarantined items, I deleted it as suggested. Once I deleted it from there, it disappeared from the history in both quarantined and allowed threats. I since downloaded Malwarebytes and ran it. MB detected 600 instances of (x86)PackageTracer_69\...,
    quarantined them and removed them.
