Windows 10: Query on Start menu showing up while taskbar is set to hide automatically.

Well the issue is pretty straight forward. I have enabled the "AUTO HIDE TASKBAR THINGY" on my notebook. But, when I use the mouse cursor to click on the Start Menu button on the taskbar (the Windows Logo) For some reason it waits for the taskbar to hide before showing the actual Start Menu.

Pressing the Windows Keyboard Shortcut works just fine.

Taskbar hides and shows itself after opening start menu.

Steps:

1. Using HDMI for a second monitor.
2. Open start menu using the icon.
3. Close start menu using the icon.
4. Click anywhere other than the task bars. (e.g. an open window, the desktop, even the first monitor's desktop)
   
5. Taskbar on second monitor slides down to be hidden.
6. Taskbar then immediately slides up to reappear.

If after closing the start menu (step 3), you click on the taskbar, then click outside the taskbar, this behavior does not occur.

Performing the steps on the main monitor's taskbar does not produce this behavior.

This has been happening for as long as I can remember using this laptop (~3years), with different nVidia drivers and Windows 10 updates.

 

can not hide app list in start menu


Using windows 10 build 17063

I go to setting > personalization > start, now I off 'Show app list from start menu'

But Whenever I exit the start personalization windows or go to other setting it automatic turn on 'Show app list from start menu' So i can not hide app list from Strat menu. How do i hide app from start menu ?

Is thr any registry tweaks or other option to hide app from start menu ?

Taskbar still showing up in 'Auto-hide' setting; Taskbar not showing on mouse hover in 'Auto-hide' setting; Start menu and Notification not showing when clicked.

1) Taskbar does not disappear even if I change my taskbar setting from 'auto-hide' to not and then back to 'auto-hide'. I have to restart everytime this happens.

2) Taskbar, when on 'Auto-hide', also not showing when I hover my mouse on the bottom of the screen. Taskbar is 'under' maximized applications (does not matter what application; Google Chrome, Sublime text, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Word, etc.). Have not
change taskbar settings from 'Auto-hide' to not then back to 'Auto-hide' for that taskbar to work normal again.

3) Start menu and Notification panel occasionally not showing up when clicked. Have tried the Powershell command solution; does not work. Have to restart computer to work properly again
