    Question about a System.exe

I noticed today listed in "Startup" (in Task Manager) a System.exe that to be honest i am not sure if it was there before. I checked it and is located in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

I let me disable it, but no rename it or delete it. The file size is 0. I scanned the file with the antivirus and it came clean.

Is this a normal file for Windows 10?

Edit: i assigned it read and write privileges and it seems i can rename it now, but then i got this message:"The action can't be completed because the file is opened is open in clientmon.exe.

    :)

How do i fix Windows cannot find 'C:\ProgramData\System32\system.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

Looks like I focused too much on the "Make sure you typed the name correctly," part and forgot about

    the "this pops up" part.

I was thinking you were trying to do a search for the system.exe file. Realising that doesn't help unfortunately.

It looks like something has not been installed correctly. What that is, I haven't a clue.

All I know is the path in the message is not correct, and not found in a default Windows installation.

There are plenty of executables that begin with 'system' in Windows, but there is no
    System.exe in System32

(or Windows), and there is no System32 in the ProgramData folder, unless it's been put there by the user,

    or a 3rd party software.

By using the correct path. If there were an executable titled System.exe in System32 you would need to look

    in C:\Windows\System32.

Sounds like it's time to run Malwarebytes.
