Question re update to win10 1607

Yesterday my laptop was updated to Windows 10 1607. I'm having problems since that update. I now have no folder that simply says pictures...only "saved pictures". Also my virtual keyboard doesn't appear like it did before on start...a small problem, but the picture folder problem is a pain. Can I uninstall this update or do I need to keep it? How do I go about uninstalling it if it's okay to do so.

    :)

  2. Update wants to delete my antivirus

    What "parts update?"

What OS Build of Win10 Enterprise Version 1607?

Does the computer-in-question belong to you or...?

  3. After every Windows updates, system restore will delete automatically why?

Has Win10 Anniversary Update (Win10 1607) ever been offered to the computer via Windows Update? [<=that's JUST a diagnostic question, NOT a suggestion or recommendation!]

Has an Insider Preview build ever been installed?

Question re update to win10 1607

    Hello,
Just wondering what you see if type exactly this string into your explorer address bar:
    %userprofile%
    I see

Question re update to win10 1607 [IMG]

Note I see a folder called 'Saved Pictures' in folder Pictures.

The Tutorial section offers this on roll back:
Windows 10 - Go Back to Previous Windows - Windows 10 Forums

Note: you have 10 days from installing the upgrade to do so.

Further, by rolling back, and staying with the previous build, you may well not receive further updates.

Having rolled back, you will also have to block further updates, else it will be offered again. The Tutorial section can help you there.

Note that some people have found after a major upgrade they are not signed in to their own profile.

I did find a "pictures" button at the top which accesses all my pics and was able to sign in this AM...so guess I can live with this, unless there's a way to replace the saved pics folder with "pictures" (the way it wa before the update.

Quick access is just a quick way to get to items - a sort of 'favourites'. Entries here are just a sort of shortcut.
    See
Quick access - Pin or Unpin Locations in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums
    and
File Explorer Quick Access Toolbar - Reset to Default in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums
in the very helpful Tutorial section for more detail.

The second may help you to feel more comfortable with what you see.

Do take time to browse the Tutorial section- it can help with many issues.

Your real folders are visible if you type
%userprofile% into your explorer address bar

There's nothing magical about 'Pictures' 'Documents' etc - they are just a default set which MS has set up for your convenience. As such, programs often expect them to be there, and add their own folders into them as working space. Multimedia programs are typical of this.

You can create more such if you wish.
