BitLocker should not cause any problems with letting Windows Update do the upgrade.

  2. Should Folks using 3rd Party Antivirus programs, example Avast Free, Disable it first, or uninstall it first prior to doing the Redstone/Anniversary update, though i'll probably do a clean install with the ISO on the 2 Windows 10 Systems here, so kinda mute point I think

I have created an iso from install.esd inside a vm, and upgraded my live 10586 install (having backed it up with Macrium Reflect), and it was very smooth - no hitches at all.

As I said a few weeks ago on this thread, manual upgrades are more reliable that the auto upgrades.

  6. I am afraid that auto upgrades might suddenly take place without prior notice or with a notification that disappears before I notice it.

  7. Can the latter be prevented if I manually create C:\$WINDOWS.~BT and make it impossible to create new files there?
