questions related various things in windows 10

As I use windows, many questions come to mind, and some are not explained anywhere. I ask questions, but I am disappointed by the fact that, those who answer my questions, either don't explain fully or leave the conversation in between, leaving the questions unanswered. And the questions, that I want to ask are important (edit: especially the ones concerning security and privacy topics). So, I ask MS to answer my questions in detail. The questions are:

Does windows defender scan the browser extensions (any browser)? And how to know that, what type of data (if any) is being transmitted by an application, that is installed in my computer and to where is the data going?

I came to know of the windows defender browser protection extension, but as I am currently using Firefox and it seems that the windows defender browser protection extension is not for Firefox, and by the way, I was asking that the add-ons or extensions that I have installed in my Firefox browser, are they scanned by windows defender just like windows defender scans other programs?

I checked some services in the services application, and it came to my notice that, there are services which have unknown publisher, but service/program name is not unusual. So are those services safe?, even if doing the search of the service name on the web, states that the service is from MS, but publisher name doesn't contain such info?

What is 'winrt...' which is found when going to search tab>'search again in'>'winrt...' ?

I checked the article, the link of which was provided to me in a question, but I didn't found that how to restore the SID [if it has got deleted], and the SID name "S-1-5-21" that was in the screenshot that I posted previously, was not there in the article.

If the computer shuts down unexpectedly, then how to do a setting in windows to restore the programs, just as a browser restores the webpages?

How to make the win search ignore specific folders or files, which are also there in that parent folder, in which search is to be made?

Does windows do a search like this, that if we have a file with certain data in it, but if we search for a keyword which is not mentioned in the filename to be searched and is not in its contents also, then, can windows check that, whether the keyword has any relation to the data in the file? And then include that file in the search results.

As in windows, for the different devices attached, there are different drivers from ms, but for the DataCard device that I have, can I use or manage it through windows itself?

The DataCard that I am using, is the one which is used to access the internet. It attaches in the USB port of the computer and has a SIM card in it.

As there are various settings in control panel and in the settings app in windows 10, so, how can I know that, after windows is updated, do any new settings have come or not?, both in the control panel and the settings app, and even the smallest of settings.

For example, even if only one setting has come after the update, and where it is located. And also, if any setting has been removed after the update, and which one?

And as there are different programs installed in a system, then upon opening the programs, they have their own window size and are placed at any position on the screen. How to do such a setting that, they open with the same size as they are set and open at the same position on the screen? (also include the different dialog boxes of windows and other similar things)

I have tried resizing the windows of some programs, but some programs do not allow resizing their windows. And also, the programs do not open at the same location on the desktop, even after I have moved them from one position to another on the desktop, then having closed them, and then re-opened them.

And how can I ensure that the dialog boxes of windows and other similar things also open at the same place on the desktop?

    :)

  2. questions related some things of windows

    Hi CT me,

Here are the answer to your queries:

    • How to search for keywords or phrases on some specific URLs and not the whole internet?
      • When you're on a specific page or site, you can use Ctrl + F. It's a keyboard shortcut for
Find command. To do this, go to the specific page and then press Ctrl
        + F.
    • How to get the history of all the searches that are done in windows?
      • There's a feature called Activity history. It helps keep track of the things you do on your PC. You can check this
        article.
    • What is 'winrt...' which is found when going to search tab>'search again in'>'winrt...' ?
      • Can you further elaborate this? or please send us a screenshot. Normally,
winrt is a search connector that connects users with data stored in web services or remote storage locations.
    • Is there any ms software or any feature in windows that searches or checks the contents of files saved in computer (including the data saved in the files of other programs) and automatically reminds that this specific
work is pending especially when I am doing any related work?
      • As of the moment, that feature is not available but you can always use
        Cortana.
    • Does windows defender scan the browser extensions (any browser)? And how to know that what type of data (if any) is being transmitted by an application that is installed in my computer and to where is the data going?
      • Microsoft releases Windows Defender browser protection that allows you to add additional layer of protection when browsing online. Check out this
        link.
      • You can visit/view the Windows application log by following the steps
        here.
    • As in windows, for the different devices attached, there are different drivers from ms, but for the DataCard device that I have can I use or manage it through windows itself?
      • Data card is an electronic card for data operations and there are different kind of data cards. Can you tell us which type of data card are you using?
    • As there are different programs installed in a system, then upon opening the programs they have their own window size and are placed at any position on the screen. How to do such a setting that they open with the same size as they are set and open at the
      same position on the screen?
      • You have to manually open each program and set their own window sizes. You can pin them on to your
task bar for quick access when you're on the desktop.
    • Is there any way to stop or pause the dotted spinner animation that comes at various places in windows (and also when starting windows) or have another thing in its place like a progress bar?
      • Dotted spinner animation means that there's a process going on to load a specific page or to load Windows, so we cannot stop or pause the process.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
