Windows 10: Quick Access for Network Drives

Same for me, @stvmitch - I can't reliably fix folders from a networked-drive (mapped or otherwise) to the 'Quick Access' facility; I can have one there, but if I try to add another it just replaces the former one - it's driving me nuts as I always used to use the 'Favourites' for direct links to the folders I used most.

As a (hopefully) temporary fix, I've had to create shortcuts to the network folders I regularly access and save them in a new folder on my C-drive, with this new folder fixed to the Quick Access menu - not exactly 'quick' access, but better than nothing.

Really appreciate it if anyone's got a proper fix...

Really weird how different comps can have different results like this.

Mind you, I have seen different results because of the baggage carried across from the previous OS. Registry entries can, and do, cause probs that a clean install won't see. It's a bit luck of the draw.

I have seen it on my main comp and I have just spent a day and a half fixing a win 10 update problem that migrated from a previous win 7 setup.

Time certainly flies by doing this stuff. The update problem I worked on wasn't helped by the fact that the computer was in Australia and I am in NZ!

Turned out to be a registry entry that had disabled windows update. Funny how these problems all seem so easy after you have fixed them.

 

I am having the same issue. There wasn't ever a fix for this and I missed it, was there? I too am on Build 10240

 

Still not resolved - Is Microsoft even aware of this problem...?

 

Everyone in my office on W10 could only pin one network location, but after we upgraded our NAS the problem was gone. The new one is setup with multiple user accounts whereas the old one was just wide open. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. We can pin as many network locations as we want now.

Our old NAS was a Seagate NAS 220 and our new one is a Synology DS415+

I know this isn't a solution, but I thought someone smarter than I could use the information to come up with a fix!
