  1. Quick Assist On Windows 10

    When I open Quick Assist it tries to start but I then just get the cog wheel spinning round. I am running 64Bit Windows 10 Professional, Build 1809, with all of the latest fixes and updates applied. I have tried running both the SFC and DISM commands as Administrator but the problem persists. Quick Assist was working fine until recently so I can only assume that a Microsoft update has screwed it up. Help !!!!!

    :)

    However, you can try the troubleshooting steps mentioned below:

    Method 1: Re-registering the app

    2. Right click on PowerShell and select
      Run as administrator.
    3. Type the following command and press Enter:

      Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
    4. Once the process is completed, restart the computer and search for Quick Assist.

    Method 2: Creating new user account

    You can create a new user account and check if you are able to open Quick Assist.

    Hi Cindy,

    Microsoft Quick Assist is a Windows 10 app that enables two people to share a computer over a remote connection so that one person can help solve problems on the other person’s computer.

    Select the Start button > Windows Accessories >
    Quick Assist, or select the search box on the taskbar and type
    Quick Assist
