So I have an i3-8100 with 8gbs of RAM. Previously I had 4gbs and it most of the times used consume about 2.8 Gbs at once. But when i increased it to 8gbs of RAM I expected the same amount of RAM to be in use while leaving a greater amount free. But it didn't. It's still filling up 3.7 Gbs. I have no extra programs running and I have calculated the total amount of RAM used by processors listed in the Task Manager. What can I do?

    :)

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
