    Hi

I have been having random crashes in WIndows 10 lately with multiple Errors being reported lfor instance a few "System_Thread_Exception_Not Handled", "Kernal_Data_Inpage_Error", and several "Reference_By_Pointer" errors, and it tends to happen most often on start up or when I walk away from my computer whether I left my computer doing something or not, like compressing video.

I have ran "chkdsk" which did find one 64bit file damaged and it repaired. I have ran multiple "sfc /scannows" with no integrity violations being found and a virus scan and the Windows ram scan I haven't ran memtest. I have updated Windows and my Graphics drivers as well as most of my peripherals but I cant seem to figure out the problem. I also have not overclocked anything.

Any help would really be appreciated.

I have the latest 3 minidumps files but am confused to how to share them here.

    :)

Seemingly random BSOD and I can't figure out the cause/solution!

    Hi,

So I've been having an issue for a while where my pc will randomly have a blue screen error which will cause my pc to restart, the unusual thing about it is most of the causes (as listed on the blue screen) will be random. Sometimes it's memory management,
other times it's about page faults and I can't really figure out what to do!

I've ran memory checks both the windows integrated one and memtest and my memory seems to be fine, I've tried clean installing windows too and I'm not really sure what else to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

  3. bluescreen

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community.

I understand that it can be frustrating for you when the computer shows bluescreen errors. Bluescreen errors are usually caused due to faulty hardware or drivers. We will try to narrow down the cause of the issue by performing a few steps.

    1. Do you get bluescreen errors randomly or while performing any specific actions such as playing a game or running any particular application?
    2. Do you see any error code along with the message “DRIVERS POWER STATE FAILURE”?
    3. Are there any external devices connected to your computer?

The usual causes for bluescreen errors are Graphic card drivers and Network adapter drivers. We can go ahead and try to update the drivers.

Refer the article Update drivers in Windows 10 on how to update Graphic card
    and Network drivers.

You may also refer the article Troubleshoot blue screen errors
for additional troubleshooting steps to fix the issue.

You can reply to this post if you need further assistance

    Hope it helps.

Random Bluescreens with different errors and I cant figure out what is causing them.

bluescreen error message wont allow access to desktop

    Hi David,

To know what kind of troubleshooting steps would be applicable to your bluescreen error, please answer these questions:

    • What is the exact error message showing on your end?
    • Were there any changes/updates to your device prior to the issue?
    • Any troubleshooting steps you've done so far to resolve the issue?

For now, you can have a look at the troubleshooting step on this link as an initial remedy to the bluescreen
    error you're receiving.

We'll be waiting for your updates.
