  1. Random BlueScreens

    Hey hey,

my mom is receiving random BSOD and I am struggling to figure out why...

The system is a completely new build and 1.5 weeks old, Blue Screens appear randomly during the system run so not during the start or during a specific action at least from what I can tell. My mom is using RDP to be connected to the work PC. So I hope it does not relate to that.

    • PSU: 400 Watt be quiet! Pure Power 11 Non-Modular 80+ Gold
    • Mainboard: ASRock B450 Steel Legend AMD B450 So.AM4 Dual Channel DDR4 ATX Retail
    • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G
    • RAM: 16GB G.Skill Aegis DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16 Dual Kit AMP profile not applied
    • Additional Fan cooling: be quiet! Pure Rock 2
    • SSD: Crucial P1 SSD 500GB M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 x4

    What is connected otherwise:

    • Headphones/Microphone over the onboard mainboard ports there is a front panel with 3.5mm headphone/microphone jacks
    • Mouse: Logitech M330 Silent Plus
    • Webcam: Logitech C310 HD Webcam USB

AMD drivers are installed to use the GPU unit of the processor. Temperatures in idle mode also look ok, around 30°C to 40°C.
Windows Updates are all installed and I haveinstalled all drivers from the main board website. Bios is on version 3.50.
Did a Windows Memory Diagnostic test that came back without any errors. Also did an "SFC /Scannow" and did not find any errors.
The minidumps can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cyNJnETIjG0tDYXV417LKQTaZsszMTWM/view?usp=sharing the error codes are different every time. Recently got THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER and WIN32K_SECURITY_FAILURE will deliver more dumps later.

    Hopefully, someone can help

    :)

  2. Constant bluescreens - still not fixed

I don't think you understood my issue - my bluescreens are random, so I can't do a clean boot and provoke a bluescreen. I am not sure what the steps you suggested have anything to do with my problem and it is not clear how it will help. The PC does boot
up normally, it just crashes randomly during the day.

I am pretty sure the issue is related to a driver that could be incompatible with Win 10. Please check the older threads to further understand the issue.

    Thank you.

    Random BSOD while browsing internet

BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.
A tiny documentation can be found here: Solved Random BSODs - Windows 10 Forums
In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.

    random restarts

    Hi,

If a Windows computer random restarts, the device usually have some damaged system components. For us to provide an accurate solution, we would need you to answer the following questions:

    • Which build, version and edition of Windows is installed on your computer?
    • What changes have you made to the device before this issue occurred?
    • What troubleshooting steps was already performed to your laptop?

In the meantime, it will be best to make sure that the latest update of Windows is installed on your device. If the same issue happens after installing Windows Update, we suggest running the power troubleshooter. To do so, follow these steps:

    • Open the Control Panel.
    • Using the search bar at the upper-right corner, type troubleshooting.
    • From the search results, click on Troubleshooting and then select System and Security.
    • Click on Power and then follow the prompts to successfully run the tool.

We are looking forward to your response.
