Windows 10: random BSOD due to ntoskrnl.exe

it happens at random but not really random. it happens randomly while surfing the net with mozilla. it happens when scrolling thru facebook. maximizing a youtube video but i dont get bsod while gaming. i get it after gaming then start browsing or surfing facebook watching youtube netflix i dont know what is the trigger because it doesnt always happen like that but its always after gaming.

i know there is a lot of information about this ntoskrnl bsod but the ones i found is they are having issues with their hardware and drivers.

i already updated all my drivers. no third party driver installer or antivirus. i just have steam vlc Mozilla on my pc. and all my hardware are new.


my hardware:

cpu r5 3400g

mobo: asrock b450m pro4-f

ram:2x4gb hyperx fury 2666


i did malware scan using malware-bytes, quarantined 2 threats, scanned again now they are gone.

still bsod


i did sfc /scannow and it found corrupt files but it cant repair it. i tried to do DISM following this guide:

but when i got to dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth it got stuck on 100% and i restart the pc to repeat the procces now nothing happens on step one even sfc /scannow doesnt dont work.


i already did memtest no errors.

i guess im getting bsod becaue i only have 8gb ram? i dont know. please help

Random BSOD while browsing internet


BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.

In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.

 

BSOD ntoskrnl, plz help!

Hello, I'm having bsod when I launch benchmark with sisoft sandra.

I got 2 different bsod DRIVER_CORRUPTED_XPOOL and DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER all with the same driver ntoskrnl.

what to do?
