Windows 10: Random BSoD's "DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER"

Greetings, gentlemen. I have been getting random bsod's lately, sometimes the system fails to boot windows, sometimes it crashes mid-operation. I opened the crash dump with WinDBG, but I didnt get much info on the possible issue. from what I've seen, the culprit might be ntkrnlmp.exe, or something related to it. Not much of a tech-savvy, and I don't know precisely what to look for. DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER at any random times.


Hi, I have been getting "DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER" BSODs at any random times.
Sometimes I don't get it during weeks, sometimes 3 times a week, it's completely random I cannot analyze it.
Can someone please help?

I am running Windows 10 Pro x64 official.

BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.

In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.
