    random directory display

    Hi,
Each time event Id98 [Ntfs (Microsoft-Windows-Ntfs)] triggers, directory of external disk (E:\) is displaying on the screen. I would like to know how to suppress this display.
System files are ok with sfc /scannow
    Thank you for your help

    :)

    Current issues with Ovi-Suite 2.1.1.1

Another issue I found that eventually "broke the camel's back" and made me go back to PC Suite:

When opening the phone's file system in Explorer, files that are changed on the phone are not updated immediately in the directory view on the PC. It is often necessary to disconnect and reconnect the phone to force the directory listing to refresh.

On the other hand, PC Suite includes the alternative "Nokia Phone Browser" icon in Explorer that updates immediately.

I second your observations about the random display of contacts and photos being a potential privacy risk, let alone an unnecessary use of resources.

    ciao marcus

"but how do these people know my name?"

Could be as simple as picking your name out at random from the telephone directory or picking the names of people that the scammers see posting on social media sites and looking those up in the online phone directories.

Look through Task Scheduler qas I mentioned, see if anything in there could be triggering this, any kind of disk activity.

You said you ran chkdsk for C: and E:. How exactly did you do this? Please explain for both drives, thanks.

The Eventid 98 is: Volume E: ( \ Device \ HarddiskVolume19 ) is healthy. No action is required.

Look for scheduled task having to do with Disk maintenance or checking.
