Windows 10: Random PC Shutdown

Since about two to two and a half weeks ago, my PC has had the issue of randomly shutting down.
This happens entirely at random, seemingly regardless of what I am doing or not doing. I had it shut down while playing games, browsing, watching movies etc.
It has been shutting down at random time intervals, sometimes hours pass without any incidents, then it may happen 2 times within 5 minutes.

The shut down happens as follows: My screens go black from one second to the other, all devices plugged into my PC power down and I hear my PC shut down entirely.
About two seconds of silence.
My PC will boot up again, as if nothing had happened and I do not get any sort of error message at any given time.

So far I have tried different things, however what seemingly helped best was reinstalling windows with the option of deleting all apps and files.
This left me with about a day and a half with no incidents.

It also seems that the longer time progresses, the more often the shut downs are.

• Can you tell us what were the troubleshooting steps that you have done so far?
• About the random shutdown, is this concern happening prior to the update?

My pc takes for ever to shut down when i restart

Suggest cleaning up your startup list .There may be many services / Apps you can remove on startup which is not needed on boot or during shutdown.
Before you shutdown the Pc check what is running in Task Manager as a program or service in not killing the process on shutdown

Would suggest cleaning up running apps and services -Autoruns, StartupMonitor,HighjackThis,
Malware Scan - Malwarebytes,ADWcleaner, Combofix

 

random shutdowns?

All the shut downs have happened while I was just surfing the web. Oh and yes the Brisbane is an awesome chip for overclocking*Wink
