Random system reboots due to 'bugcheck'

    Hello,

I am having issues with my Windows machine where it is rebooting at random points throughout the week. The Event Log states the following:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000009f 0x0000000000000003, 0xffffd18669669060, 0xfffff409a94378b0, 0xffffd1867210fac0. A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: c2984002-507f-4ca6-b9b2-c6f261dd40a4.

I have already attempted to uninstall recently installed drivers and performed the usual troubleshooting such as checking the system file integrity by running sfc /scannow.

I have opened the MEMORY.DMP file with dumpchk.exe but I do not know how to read it or how to narrow down the problem. I was wondering if anyone could assist me with it. I will send it in such a way that is possible, but since it is 700 MB, please let me know the most efficient way to provide the file.

    Technical information:

  2. System Reboot for Bugcheck 0x00000124

    Hi Guys,

I recently purchased a MSI laptop (GT72VR 6RE), and upgraded Win 10 version from Home to Pro. Performed the upgrade as soon as I fired up the laptop for the first time.

Last couple of weeks, while working on Google Drive (via Chrome) the computer will suddently lock up, and after couple of seconds reboot.

Checking Event Viewer, it shows the following events:
Random system reboots due to 'bugcheck' [IMG]

Details for the listed events in sequence:
    • The previous system shutdown at 4:48:27 PM on ‎5/‎09/‎2016 was unexpected.
    • The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
    • Audit events have been dropped by the transport. 0
    • The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\ENE0110\5&14353508&0.
    • A corrected hardware error has occurred.
Random system reboots due to 'bugcheck' [IMG]
    • A corrected hardware error has occurred. (same as above)
    • The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000124 (0x0000000000000000, 0xffffe0002c0c2028, 0x00000000be000000, 0x0000000000800400).

It has happened twice so far and that has me bit worried.
Previous one had the following bugcheck error:
    • The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000001e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff800765cd8b8, 0x0000000000000000, 0x00000000000000a0).

Would really appreciate if someone can point out anything.

It is a brand new laptop (couple of weeks old). And both the times when it crashed, I was using Chrome (google drive, or writing email etc), wasn't playing games. The CPU/GPU isn't overclocked either.

    Thanks in advance.

    Random Crash due to Bugcheck

    Hi David,

We would like to know more about your concern. Please provide the following information:

    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
    • What was the exact error code/message that you received?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you follow these steps and see if it helps:

    Step 1:
    Perform System File Checker
    (SFC) scan.

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

    Step 2:
    Clean boot
    .

A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This will help to eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program.

Please get back to us with the result.
