Windows 10: Ransom ware and locked screen

Discus and support Ransom ware and locked screen in Windows Hello & Lockscreen to solve the problem; We have had our Windows 10 pc sign in screen locked due to ransom ware.     We have had our Windows 10 pc sign in screen locked due to ransom ware. Besides paying the $$$ how can we get to the desktop to install my Malwarebytes software. Anyone run into this recently?Thanks Eric

    Ransom ware and other Pop ups

    Since long before the the talk of Ransom ware went public, i was getting repetitive pop ups threatening to lock my computer, i found a simple reboot cleared my screen and i could continue for a random period of time.

    Not sure if this is THE ransom ware, it doesnt seem that complex, it is just annoying!!

    Windows Defender does not dete it, i AM using windows 10 which i thought was impervious.

    Strangely these things seem to happen when i am connecting to servers such as iiNet or Net Gear !!

    I am contemplating reinstalling windows 10...........opinions please ??
