Windows 10: RAT virus

Hey guys, earlier yesterday i believe my pc got infected by a RAT keylogger from something i downloaded and ended up crashing a game of mine and stealing everything in it by bypassing 2 factor authentication and a pin i had.

Reasons why im pretty sure its a RAT: 1.) I use different passwords for everything and dont share with anyone. 2.) The hacker somehow knew ALL of my information, didnt disable anything but simply bypassed it. 3.) Although i ran a malwarebytes after the event occurred, it didnt detect anything.

I ended up factory resetting my laptop completely including my personal stuff on the computer. Changed up all my passwords for everything afterwards and canceled my credit cards, yet i cant help but be constantly worried that despite factory resetting, the RAT is still on my computer.

How worried should i be?

Will defender remove the rat virus?

I received an email stating that my computer is infected with a rat virus and requesting money to remove it? How do i check this and remove it?
