Windows 10: Raw Image Extension causing problems after latest update

Hi, after latest update for Raw Image Extension app from Microsoft store I am encountering the following problem. After opening any raw image cr2 or cr3 raw canon format for example file explorer would stop loading thumbnail icons in that folder and green progress bar at the top would stuck and never finish. Even after closing the window and opening ANY other folder, icons would not load and everything pretty much just hangs until I restart my PC then it's back to normal until I open any image file again but it happens only for raw images. Raw Image Extension not working

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Regarding to your information I assume that your Raw Image Extension can't work and you want to reinstall them but can't uninstall it.

This extension is a decoder, after installing it you can use the Photo app to open the raw photo and use Explorer to view the raw thumbnail.

Did you mean you can't use this software open the raw photo?

You can run the PowerShell as administrator then enter this command uninstall this extension

Hi, FWIW it installs ok on mine.. Can you install any other Store app? The description suggests the version check is when it is being installed. Were you able to download it?

Is this where you are seeing the build number discrepancy?
