  1. RDP not connecting from MacBook to Windows 10 Pro

Both MacBook and Windows Laptop are connected to same wifi. I have provided the IP address of the Windows laptop to connect to it using RDP from MacBook. RDP app in mac is the official Microsoft's one. It asks for username and password. I have given my Microsoft account username and password since Windows is logged from MS account with PIN setup. RDP is not accepting the password. I tried PIN, password and even created app password to connect. Nothing works. My account is setup with MFA.

I find it weird that MS pushed so hard to sign Windows using MS account but none of its RDP works out of the box. I saw suggestions saying to create local account which is super weird for MS itself. Or, they ask to sign in using password rather PIN. They why do they push to create PIN? MS collects every data from PC but they cannot connect PIN with password or they don't know that those are from same accounts? They don't trust themselves? Given the cost of Pro license, RDP should be working fluidly out of the box. Most solutions I find online is BS, asking to go into ton of settings and tweaking. If that's how MS wants to do, then Pro license should be free.

    :)

Windows on Macbook Pro using Bootcamp

    Hi,

You need support software (drivers) installed with Boot Camp to use Windows 10. This software is automatically downloaded when you use Boot Camp Assistant. Boot Camp supports 64-bit versions of Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro when used with a supported
Mac. Here are the list that supports Windows 10:

    • MacBook Pro (2012 and later)
    • MacBook Air (2012 and later)
    • MacBook (2015 and later)
    • iMac Pro (2017)iMac (2012 and later)
    • Mac mini (2012 and later)
    • Mac mini Server (Late 2012)
    • Mac Pro (Late 2013)

We also suggest that you check and follow the steps shared by Andre Da Costa on this
thread on how to setup Windows 10 on your Mac using Boot Camp.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

Apple Could Discontinue 17-inch MacBook Pro

They will alienate a big part of their installed base if they do that. Many professionals loyally plunk down big numbers for Mac Pros and Macbook pros. It will engender tremendous ill will. The good news is, that might be the incentive for competitors to step up and develop equivalent NON WINDOWS products. The pros will not run Pro Tools on Windows.

RDP not connecting from MacBook to Windows 10 Pro

rdp connection refused from mac (os 10.6), from windows it works

has anyone a hint what this problem could solve:
    I have 4 computers in my lan. 1 win10, 1 win 7, 1 win2008 and a macbook with os 10.6

i want to establish a rdp session from macbook to win10. Result: no connect (but i can ping and telnet on port 3389 th win10 maschine from the macbook, which means win10 is reachable for rdp )
from win7 to win10 rdp session works
from macbook to win7 rdp session works
from macbook to win2008 rdp session works.

Is there in win 10 some hidden option, not to let in non-windows clients?
    any idea?
