Windows 10: RDP Session tells "Access is denied." when i try to connect to a user privileged account.

Severity : ALL Windows 10 version.. I tried several version of Windows 10 from 2004 to 20H1 as well as Insider previous , all Windows version denies a user to connect until the account was not logged in from local desktop.What the hell is happening, and why is this **** happening ?I've tried everything from the local user management to the local security policy , every corresponding user is already added to the Remote Desktop Users group, and in the local security policies also configured to allow these users to connect , but still stuck .. still " Access is denied."

"Access denied 0x80004005" issue - RDP session - Windows server 2016 - User logon time out

I have scheduled a task running all the time on my Windows server 2016.

Connecting through RDP, few functionalities require user to be logged on to the server to be processed but it seems user log offs after a time limit. After certain time limit, task was facing "Access denied 0x80004005"
Error

i have tried changing the following in RDP session host settings in group policy:

• automatic re connection -> enabled
• deny logoff of an administrator logged in to the console session -> enabled
• configure keep alive connection interval -> 99999
• session time limits -> disabled

But they didnt help my task, still its facing "Access denied 0x80004005" Error

 

Unable to launch applications in RDP session

Issue: User is unable to launch applications when connected to a device through RDP

To clarify:

RDP connection itself is successful. User is can access device. But when user clicks an application, it does not launch.

User IS able to launch applications when signed into destination device directly.

Other users are not encountering issues opening applications when connected via RDP on the same devices.

Issue seems to occur only on this users specific profile.

Any suggestions?

 

RDP session logs for on local machine for remote servers

Hello MS Community,

I am stuck with some security hardening related work which requires me to create a report for remote sessions taken from a privileged workstation.

So we have Windows 7 Workstation which is used as a privileged access device to access critical servers. i need to know the destination servers to which RDP session was taken from this privileged access device with the user who did it.

I can find logs locally when i log on to individual servers but that i can not do as a solution to daily reporting.

Please help.
