  1. Re-installing Windows 10 Mail not working?!

My Windows 10 Mail app is not working anymore. It even does not start up.

Removing it within the Configuration Menu is not working.

Also "Get-AppxPackage *windowscommunicationsapps* Remove-AppxPackage" hangs and only displays "Deployment operation progress: microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_16005.12624.20368.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe Initialized" or even displays nothing and hangs..

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

    :)

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Re-installing Windows 10 Mail not working?! :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

  4. Re-installing Windows 10 Mail not working?!

Installing Windows 10 using Windows 7 key

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.
