On my PC: Going to - Settings/Windows Update/View update history

I see 2019-04 Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x-64 based systems (KB4493509)(3) Last failed install attempt on ‎2019-‎04-‎12 - 0x800f0922

Going to –Control Panel/Programs and Features//View installed updates

I see Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4493509) Installed On 2019-04-12


On my laptop: Going to - Settings/Windows Update/View update history

I see 2019-04 Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x-64 based systems (KB4493509)

Requires a restart to finish installing (Doing a restart does nothing)

Going to –Control Panel/Programs and Features//View installed updates

I see Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4493509) Installed On 4/12/2019


So: Seeing that KB4493509 is no longer being offered to me, I will assume that it is now installed on both my machines, quit worrying about it, and get on with my life!

Kb4493509 Update Problems

Hello,

there is an huge problem with the Kb4493509 Update.

Me and an friend got the Update yesterday evening and installed it after the installation and the reboot our system doesn't work correctly.

After an deinstallation of the Kb4493509 the systems work perfectly fine.

We tested it on some other devices too and had the same issue on every System.

Can someone confirm this on his own system?

KB4493509 fails to install

boot with windows into safe mode with networking , then extract kb4493509 using 7.zip software then find .cab file

then try with this command

Dism.exe /Online /Add-Package /Packagepath:C:\windows10.0-kb4493509-x64.cab

after finished , restart the windows
