Windows 10 refuses to activate on a new motherboard. I do not/no longer have access to a product key for my Windows 10, however I have a digital license. On my prior motherboard, my Windows 10 digital license was activated and linked to my Microsoft account. When switching over to my new motherboard, I have gone under Home>Settings>Update and Security>Activation>Troubleshoot.

After troubleshooting, I receive the message claiming that it was still unable to activate on my new device. When prompted, I click "I changed hardware on this device recently." My issues are still not fixed, and I am sent to yet another dead end. This is terribly aggravating, as it says the servers aren't available. I have tried to solve this error months, and weeks ago, so this isn't something new that I can simply wait out.

Yes, my Microsoft account between both motherboards is the same. Yes, my digital license was linked to my microsoft account prior to making any hardware changes. However, on my new hardware, I cannot in the slightest find anything that will work.

    Error Code: 0xC004F211

Whenever looking up help on the Microsoft support pages, I get sent in loops, and referred to do the same exact things to no avail.

    :)

  3. windows 10 reactivation after hardware change

I just changed motherboards, and When I follow the the steps listed in the "reactivate windows 10 after hardware change" support page, it gives me the message "unable to activate windows" message after I sign in and identify my device,
with no error code, just a subheader that says "can't activate windows 10 on this device, try again later."

Windows 10 won't reactivate after a hardware change

I changed a lot of the hardware on my device recently, however I followed the steps on the Microsoft support page to get my computer ready for the hardware change so that I could reactivate Windows 10 after I changed the hardware. However, now it won't reactivate,
and has the error code 0xC004F025, and when I try to troubleshoot it says "We can't reactivate Windows on this device. Try again later."

My Windows 10 was a free upgrade from Windows 7.
