Windows 10: Reactivating windows after changing the motherboard and CPU

I'm trying to reactivate my windows 10 with the "I recently changed hardware" option given in the troubleshooting menu, and my old PC DOES appear in the menu, but trying to select it just takes me to an empty window that says "We can't reactivate Windows on this device. Try again later".


I don't really have the money to purchase a new copy of Windows, so it'd be great if I could fix this some way.

In case it helps, I'm using Windows 10 Pro, upgraded for free from Windows 7 Pro.

Just installed a new cpu and motherboard, went to activate windows gain, but i don't have the product key. Ran the troubleshooter and clicked where it says to if you just changed your hardware and it still won't reactivate it for me. Any help is appreciated.

Changed MotherBoard CPU and Memory Now can't reactivate

My old Evga 780i bit the dust and had to buy new MotherBoard, CPU and Memory and now i can't reactivate window 10.
