Windows 10: Readjust app icon size without modifying explorer layout

Here is my default explorer view: https://imgur.com/a/wPZGkjtI only want to increase the icon size of all apps games to be specific, without changing it from the Details View layout. I can select Large Icon or Medium Icon View Layout but that makes everything in a lined order over the screen from the left of the screen to the right of the screen. I want it to be vertical like it is now in Details View or List View.Also, I can't increase the overall Windows App scale because I also have other applications/software which will be affected by that setting.Can you please tell me if it is possible

Change icon size in File Explorer (22621.2506)

I understand your frustration with the changes that occur with updates. There is no official way provided by Microsoft to roll back UI changes brought by updates. The design of File Explorer, including icon sizes and layouts, tend to be determined by the specific update and cannot be reverted to an older version without rolling back the entire update.

However, you can adjust the icon size in File Explorer in a few steps:

1. Open File Explorer.
   
2. Navigate to the folder where you want to change the icon size.
   
3. Click the "View" tab on the ribbon at the top of the File Explorer window.
   
4. In the "Layout" section, you can select between "Extra large icons", "Large icons", "Medium icons", "Small icons", "List", "Details", "Tiles", or "Content". Each of these will display your files and folders in a different way with different icon sizes.
   

As for the gray box around the file icon, this might have been a specific design element in the older version of File Explorer that has been removed in the new update. Unfortunately, there is no setting in File Explorer that allows you to add a gray box around file icons.

If you're not satisfied with the new design of File Explorer, you might want to consider giving feedback to Microsoft. Microsoft often take user feedback into account when designing new updates. You can do this by pressing the Windows key + F to open the Feedback Hub.

Icon indentation (Tiles or Content) in Window Explorer is too large. How to restore to default?

There is a possibility that an unexpected changed was applied to the display view on your system after the update was installed. To address this concern, we suggest modifying the size of the icons in File Explorer. Follow these steps to do so:

• Open the File Explorer.
• Click on the View tab.

Font and Icon size

• Which build version of Windows 10 is on your computer? To check, click
  Start, type winver, and press Enter. For example, 14393.1066.
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

As initial recommendation, we suggest following these steps to change the icon size:

• Right-click on an empty space on your desktop.
• Select View.
• Choose Medium icons or Small icons, whichever you prefer more.
  

Additionally, you can change the display size of texts and other items by following these steps:

• Right-click on an empty space on your desktop.
• Click Display settings.
• Under Change the size of text, apps, and other items, drag the slider over to 100%.
  
• If the slider is already on 100%, click Advanced display settings.
• Under Resolution, choose the Recommended option from the drop-down choices.
