Windows 10: Really unhappy with screen and print colours after Windows 10 Update.

I have a Sony laptop, which I run with a second monitor by ACER.

I use the larger monitor, especially when I'm doing graphic design work.

Although, as a designer, I have always known that what you see is not what you get, before the Windows Update, the results of my printing were very similar to what I saw on my screen, and what I wanted to achieve.

This changed after a Windows 10 Update.

Now, the two monitors are vastly different in appearance.

There is almost no correlation between the two monitors in terms of colour, which is already disatisfactory.

The ACER monitor still displays the design the way that I wish it to be.

However, take the design across to the laptop screen, and it changes dramatically and the colour is completely inaccurate.

And when I print, the print turns out much more similar to the alarmingly undesirable and unattractive Laptop monitor diplay, than the desired design I see on the ACER monitor.

Working at a friend today, we plugged in another monitor, from Philips, and the issue is the same. The display on the Philips is also that which I desire, whereas the laptop display settings are vastly different and are obviously driving the print colour somehow.

What has happened, how can I fix it?

No colour printing after Windows 10 upgrade

I am running 64-bit Windows 10 and Office 365 with automatic updates. The most recent updates were installed on 16 June 2017.

I have lost all colour printing on my HP CP5225 networked printer. Everything prints in grayscale, regardless of the print settings. The printer itself is OK and my wife (who is still using Windows 7) can print to it in colour across our network.

This is a very recent fault but I am not sure exactly when it started. Previously I had no difficulty colour printing under Windows 10.

I have tried deleting and re-installing the printer. This made no difference to the fault.

In Device Manager the CP5225 has a print queue, it is listed as a printer, and as a WSD print device. Previously it was working OK on a TCP/IP port. I am not sure when Windows switched this over, or how to switch it back. We have several networked printers.

What do you suggest to restore colour printing?

• I do not have any other windows 10 devices connected to this printer i have ipad ,iPhone, android phone, tablet, all connected to printer which all print in colour with no problems.

Printing in colour from Windows 10

I am using a ZOOSTORM PC with Windows 10 and a HP Envy 5640 printer. Everything has been working fine until a couple of days ago.

I selected a colour photo in Explorer and noticed the print preview was in Black and white and the print was the same. As a test I copied the photo into a PDF which is in colour, but printing the PDF gives a Black and White output.

The printer in Ok, full cartridges, printer alignment and self- test produce colour output.

I have checked out Excel, Word, Visio and Powerpoint all show a coloured screen Preview and print in Black and White.

As far as I am aware there have been no updates impacting my system, nor have I changed any settings.
