Windows 10: Reboot and select proper boot device.

Got new parts for my PC and decided to start it again from zero, so I downloaded a copy of Win10 to my USB drive and went on to install. I had some troubles with it, the PC turned off and wouldn't turn back on past the initial loading screen.

Decided to just boot the USB drive from the bios screen and it worked, Windows Setup opened up and I went through with it. When I got to the step where you select which partition you want to use, I wasn't allowed to use any of mine, cause my HDD had an MBR partition table, so I reset the disk and converted it into GPT using the command prompt inside Windows Setup.

It should work now, but it didn't. I got error 0x80300001 and after searching some stuff, I restarted the PC (really dumb move, I should have just repaired the PC in Windows Setup). Now no matter what I try, the PC doesn't boot my usb driver and all I get is the "Reboot and select proper boot device" message. I already went to BIOS and my HDD is being detected and is already prioritize, even tried switching SATA cables/slots.

I think I screwed up my Windows installation and can't even install it again now, what can I do to fix this ? I have a disk drive and a Win10 disk, but the disk drive is not plugged in and I don't have a screwdriver on me right now. Would installing Win10 through disk be the only solution ? Would even that work ? Please help.

Reboot and Select Proper Boot Device...after reboot?

Hello all. Getting a little frustrated here. A couple of weeks ago we had a user come in on a Monday morning to find that her pc was displaying the classic message "Reboot and select proper boot device...". Tried popping in a windows disk and fixing the MBR, no luck. Ended up reinstalling windows and her few programs back on it. All was good after this. For about a day. She came in the next day to find the same message. So at that point we decided that more than likely the drive was bad even though oddly enough it tested out fine. It was a Corsair 60gb SSD.

Last week we swapped that Corsair with a 64gb Crucial SSD and installed Windows. We then created a backup image of that drive. All was good until Thursday when her power strip that the PC was plugged into got tripped. Start up the computer for find "Reboot and select proper boot device..." message. So, apply the backed up image to the SSD since repairing the MBR didn't work.

Now this morning she comes in and the PC is running fine. Attempts to open Microsoft Word and she gets a pop-up stating there isn't enough disk space. So, she then restarts and upon booting back up gets "Reboot and select proper boot device..."

Any ideas what is causing this? Is it something with the mobo or do I just have horrible luck and replaced the bad SSD with another bad SSD?
