Windows 10: Rebooting to unlock key

What's happening is I unlocked my account using the bitlocker key matching the correct ID. Whenever I restart the computer I need to again enter the bitlocker key on the blue screen. Why can't it just run to windows automatically when I turn the machine on?

BitLocker key cannot unlock the disk. Neither can i reinstall cause the drive is blocked
