Windows 10: Receive pop-up message when connecting aux cable

Hello,


I'm trying to get a pop-up message on my laptop when I plug in the aux cable to set the device as a microphone (when I plug it in it automatically sets it as headphones...). I've tried to install the Realtek HD Audio Manager several times but can't open it .

In order for us to identify what triggers your laptop's issue when an aux cable is connected, we would like to gather more information:

• Have you tried connecting the aux cable and the headset to a different computer?
  
• Have you also tried connecting a different aux cable and headset to your laptop?
• Does the brief sound from the laptop only play upon inserting the aux cable and headset?

Windows Phone 7 Aux cable Problem

I have a Dell Venue Pro with T-Mobile which I use to connect to my car's auz cable to listen to music. I seem to have discovered this strange problem. When the aux cable is connected and music is playing, any call made to my phone does not connect and
message is "The number you called is not a working number".
Once I remove the aux cable, the call connects fine. Once the call is connected, I can connect the aux cable/handsfree and talk without any major problems.

Can anyone tell me whether this is a T-Mobile issue or a Dell Venue Pro issue or Win Phone 7 issue? Thank you.
