Windows 10: Recent Files

I've been forced to Windows 10 finally and so far, there is not one single improvement for me. One of my absolute favorite items I used countless times per day was Recent Files. I've searched on how to access something like that considering it has been removed for some reason. I don't know what a Windows key is might have been on my old MS brand keyboard, is that really what they are talking about? so I'm not sure how to click Windows Key + e. I have seen the list of recent files in the file explorer, but the only some files are included. I tried to give feedback and it would not open to give me the option just the continuous circle of madness.


Clearly I am extremely annoyed by this. What could possibly be the reason to get rid of one of the most useful items?


Can somebody explain to me where to find the Windows key?

And does Windows key + e gets me something other than the partial list of recent files listed on the file explorer?

you get the idea. ( too lazy to put it in a for loop and test it.

or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

that's all off already dude lol, I'm really surprised there is no fix for the recent files list/MRU in the file menu of programs haha

I appreciate the help, MS really needs to implement a Group Policy or a string that can do that for all programs installed
