Windows 10: recent issues only in gmail; 3 weeks going; extremely slow loading and can't attach PDFs;...

I have tried everything; clearing cache and history, all new updates, been on tech calls with Dell computers my desktop, Verizon Fios my internet provider, Google...nothing has worked. everything has been updated, internet speed is super fast, modems, routers, etc...all updated. nothing is working and gmail is my business email provider and it is getting very frustrating to not be able to attach pdfs and/or find emails quickly or even send them; often it times out while sending a simple email. i have to go to my phone, where i can see the draft gmail has saved and send it from my phone. i

Windows 10 Mail App, Gmail and Pdf Attachments

Emails sent with Pdf attachments do not appear with the pdf attachment in the Windows 10 mail app. the email shows but the attachment is missing. This happens for every email picked up from gmail with the default gmail account type and also manual configuration
of a gmail account. Is this a known issue? Is there anywhere to see a list of bugs for the Mail app?

When I try to download and open a gmail attachment, I mostly get the message "Download didn't complete. Try again". This happens for jpg files (even very small ones, just a few KB) and pdf files. Trying again doesn't help. BTW I have the Adobe Reader app
but it doesn't help opening pdf attachments.

I have an HTC Surround with AT&T. Any suggestions?

 

Slow email attachment download (Gmail)

Hi, Gustafus. Are you only having this issue with your Gmail account? What connection are you using? If mobile data, we suggest using Wi-Fi connection to further isolate the issue.

What kind of attachment are you trying to download? Is it a PDF file? Picture? Excel file? What is the size?
