    Recent Windows Update Boot Endless Cycle


    Hi,

    I have a Windows 10 Home machine that recently went through a windows update and restarted. It now boots past the BIOS and goes through "Windows Updating" to "Windows Diagnosing/Repairing" boot loop. My computer uses an SSD so it is (I believe) impossible to get it to boot into safe mode. Is there a way to boot into safe mode or rollback the update somehow? My apologies if this is better posted elsewhere on the forums.

    Hi Hyakinthos, daily does seem like the updates are too frequent. First, you could try running the Windows Update Assistant, which you can download here:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

    Click "Update now" on that website, then download and run the application.

    If that does not work, you can also try the Windows Update troubleshooter, which you can download here:

    Endless cycle of updates

    For the last month or so I have gotten almost persistent daily updates requiring a full restart each time. Every day I open my computer, am half-way through a project, or game and I get pulled out to be informed a new update is being installed. Everything
    runs slow, then without warning everything shuts down to complete the update. Once I can finally start up my computer again everything is fine for the rest of the day, but come the morning the cycle continues. Is it just me experiencing these daily updates??
    If so why, the update logs all state they were successful and are tagged with a unique code suggesting to me they are different updates.
