  1. Recovery / Back Up related

I have several questions, please bear with me:-

    History:-

Recently I lost my dear hard disk, it just crashed (just like that). Since there was an urgency I had to buy a new hard disk as we as a new licensed windows 10 CD. ( NO I did not create any recovery and moreover I did not do know what to do)

1.> Do we need to create a recovery disk if we have bought a windows 10 CD original ?

    Given:-

    I have the product key

    its not an OEM Version.

2.> In case of a Hard disk crash, and after installing the New Hard Disk, What are the chances That the Recovery disk/ Back up will work for

    Windows 10?

    Given:-

    As explained in History.

3.> My last and Final Question, What if I incur the same problem after sometime(as explained in history) and this time it is my MS OFFICE

HOME AND STUDENT 2019 which suffers the same fate.

1.>Then how do I install it again in my new hard disk if I have the CD (original) ?

2.> and if I downloaded it directly from The Microsoft site. (It then starts reflecting in your subscriptions) ?

I'm planning to purchase a new copy of MS Office home and student 2019.

    :)

  2. Recovery related problems

    Hi Abhijeet,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand the inconvenience caused. I will be glad to assist you with this.

If you are trying to create a Recovery drive using the Recovery Partition
on your computer and you get this error, it means that the files in the Recovery Partition are corrupt. I would suggest you to try running system file checker to scan and repair corrupt system files and check again.

Follow the steps to run the System File Checker

    • Press Windows key + X and click on
Command Prompt (Admin) to open the Elevated Command Prompt. (If prompted for a password, type the password and click Allow)
    • Type “sfc /scannow” and hit Enter.
    • Exit Command Prompt.

In addition, if you are facing certain issues with Windows 10 which requires you to re-install Windows 10, I would suggest you to try performing a repair upgrade without losing any files. This method is recommended when your operating system starts
causing different issues. To perform a repair upgrade, follow the steps given by Andre Da Costa on
How to: perform a repair upgrade using the Windows 10 ISO file.

    Hope this helps.

Let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to help.

    Recovery related problems

    Hi ,

I tried the Sol. But it didn't work. The recovery creation media still reports the same problem. The repair did work and it said the corrupted files are repaired and would work on next startup but it didn't. Also my os is now giving my all kind of new problems
all of a sudden. The startup is really slow, the search bar isn't working and the lan works but the internet isn't working. I need some solution quickly.
