  1. Recovery of windows 10 home os 64 bit.

    Hi,

can’t open folder explorer and control panel. Throws error: windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item. Can’t access start button. Search does not work. The problem started 2 days ago. Tried all solutions posted in microsoft forum and others.. could not help. I have bought a computer 2 years ago though did not get software in dvd or usb for reinstallation. Since the problem can’t be fixed, Want to fresh installation. Can I get a copy for free?

    Thank you.

    :)

  2. Windows 64 bit OS

the default of command propt (run as administrator) shows as C:\WINDOWS\system32 on drive C:\WINDOWS

but if you want to change like as C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (for 64 bit). you can type command in cmd "cd C:\Windows\SysWOW64" without qoutes

maybe can help you with this steps.

    Windows 10 32-bit OS to 64-bit with a 64-bit based processor

    How can I change my Windows 10 32-bit OS to 64-bit as I've a 64-bit based processor?

I tried downloading the Windows 10 64-bit OS from the microsoft site like an ISO file and tried running it, but it says that this pc can't run that software where Windows 10 32-bit was already installed. Then, I tried installing it online but it didn't show
me any option to select between 32-bit and 64-bit instead directly installed the windows 10 32-bit again. Now I'm really helpless how to change my OS to 64-bit as I've a x64-bit based processor. Somebody please help me..............,

Recovery of windows 10 home os 64 bit.

    Windows 10 Upgrade 32-bit to 64-bit

So, Windows 10 Upgrade is being rolled out worldwide, and I have 'reserved' my upgrade.

Currently my computer is running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. I'm planning to 'upgrade' it to Windows 10 64-bit (via fresh install, of course).

After reading many references, these will be the steps I'll do:

    1. Let the "Get Windows 10" app upgrade my OS to Windows 10 32-bit
    2. Note the activation key
    3. Download the Installation Media for Windows 10, but choosing 64-bit instead
    4. Perform a clean install
    5. Reactivate using the activation key in Step #2

(Of course I'll backup my data first.)

However, I still have some questions:

    1. On Windows 7, the activation key does not differ between 32- or 64-bit versions. Is it still so with Windows 10?
    2. Will I be able to download a different architecture on Step #3?
    3. Is there anything I need to prepare beforehand?

    Thank you for your assistance.
