Windows 10: recovery problem

I have a laptop from asus which windows was pre installed and the product key was activated. after 2 months it was still working perfectly fine, after few days my laptop was acting kinda strange and i decided to reset my laptop. I navigate to settings/recovery and i clicked get started and selected "keep my files" and an error occurred saying "could not find the recovery environment" what does that mean? and how do i fix it? if it get fixed and then i reset do i have to buy a new product key and enter it? please help me

For thouse who CAN help...:I can't enter adb (device not recognized), can't flash using stock recovery (don't really know the steps and stuck at triage and dead android when in recovery),

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.
